Singing Bowl - Meditation Music

I am a collector of singing bowl. I collect different type and sizes of singing bowls. Singing bowls are my passion. I like the soothing sound Hummm... of singing bowl. I have not found any two handmade singing bowls which make exact the same sound. It is my fascination to listen to various singing bowls with different characteristics. I use singing bowl to chant mantra every morning because it produces meditation music that I can focus on. This is the meditation technique I use every morning.
The singing bowl can produces very deep soothing meditative sound which can be used for music therapy also. Each singing bowl has it's own characteristic just like human being. Finding a right singing bowl is not very difficult. All you have to do is trying it out. You feel the bowl with your hand, listen the to the sound and look at it. Doing so, you will feel which singing bowl is right for you. It is not much different than making a friend. Based on this theory, you will be collecting not just one singing bowl but may varieties of singing bowls with different characteristics (shapes, sizes, feel and sounds).

The singing bowls are refer to in many different ways based on where and who use it. Singing bowls are also known as Himalayan bowls because they are heavily used by the Buddhist monks living in Himalayan region. Another common name for the singing bowl is Tibetan bowls because the singing bowls are commonly used in Tibet for meditation technique by the Buddhist monks and general people. Some people call it music bowl because it produces music like sound when stroked or rubbed it's rim. It is most commonly known as Singing Bowl because it sings.
